Wood You?

Ditching the layered arm-party during the scorching summer days is a lot to ask a jewelry lover, but lets face it, gold and diamonds don't exactly radiate the "free-spirit" vibe that summer is all about. Wooden bangles are an easy way to look accessory appropriate at a bar-b-que or a beach bonfire (like I wore here), without looking too much like an overdressed O.M.G. girl. Below are a few of my favorites currently available.

Holy adorable! How did I not know designing my own wooden bangles was so easy? All you need is acrylic paint and plain unfinished bangles. The design options are endless. (Click here for more ideas and detailed steps)

Are you going to be rocking wood jewelry this summer?

  30. I've stayed away from all metallic accessories during summer ever since my friend got serious sunburn from a bathing suit that had metallic accents on it. And how can you beat customizeable jewelery? :D
