Dazzle In Metallic

Skirt/Top/Heels/Sunglasses

I've always been drawn to garments that possess a little extra sheen, so when I spotted this showstopping Alice + Olivia skirt on a lone rack in Bloomingdale's I simply knew I had to splurge. A great pair of metallic shorts can easily take a fun summer look up a notch, while a dazzling metallic blazer or leggings, can help add a hint of sheen to your fall looks. When it comes to styling, I love the challenge of keeping a metallic look from appearing too flashy or over the top. The line between elegant chic and futuristic freak can be super thin when your glitz garment of choice is a bold piece, such as a skirt or trench. To balance everything out, I always suggest pairing your shiny threads with neutrals or delicate hues, like my light pink Wildfox tank. The key is to choose pieces that are refined rather than gaudy.  Below are a few of my favorite celebs rocking metallic.
