#23 June Ambrose

Today we profile #23 the insanely talented, always posh and perfectly theatrical, June Ambrose. This powerhouse stylist dresses some of the music world's most influential people and does it with a sass unlike any other. It's hard to believe June started her career working away in a boring investment firm, a career path that proved to be far too plain for Ms. Ambrose. It wasn't long before she stepped into the fashion world and there's been a major spotlight following her ever since.  She's been on Regis & Kelly, The View, The Today Show, VH1, MTV and has even been a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show. June’s celebrity crammed client list includes Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jay Z, Will Smith, Zoe Saldana, Ciara, Kelly Ripa, Alicia Keys, Kim Cattrall, and diva extraordinaire Mariah Carey.

In the 90's, Ambrose worked for Uptown MCA Records, where she caught the attention of a young P. Diddy, who at the time was a popular party promoter and talent scout. While co-workers at the company were buzzing about the need for a stylist, June knew she was the only gal who could get the job done. She stepped up to the fash plate and began compiling her work into a look book in hopes of recruiting future clients.

Ambrose later teamed up with notorious music video director Hype Williams, which opened the closet to many more styling opportunities. “Hype opened up opportunity for me to be creative and alter the image of Hip Hop in a way that was fun and colorful.” June shared. Ambrose also worked along side Mariah Carey, styling the over the top diva for her history making “The Emancipation of Mimi” comeback. June's success is due in large part to her strong work ethic paired with her goal to create lasting relationships with any and everyone along the way. These days she rubs elbows with fashion editors, photographers and top notch celebrities on a weekly basis. As if June's credits weren't already drool worthy, she has also gone on to be a spokeswoman, author and creative director for some of the biggest brands in the country. Could she be any more fabulous?

She turned the hip hop world upside down, showing them how to wear designer fashions while still staying true to their street style. You know you're the queen of your craft if Jay Z dubs you “The Architect of Style.”

We must watch out for June’s ever expanding empire. She recently signed on to star in a new VH1 reality show all about the fabulous adventures of Ambrose. The show will chronicle her outrageously inspiring life and other fun and hilarious happenings. Set your DVR's loves, I'm sure this style expert could teach us all a few things. Check out some of June’s amazing looks below. Also pick up her book, Effortless Style” to learn more about her incredible story.

Something Extra: Check out June Ambrose behind the scenes at Jay Z's Rhapsody commercial! June’s style is big and fierce and she's not afraid to experiment with looks. She plays with colors, prints, proportions, and textures like only a fash goddess could. And thanks to a little site some like to refer to as "Twitter," June is able to take us through the roller coaster she calls life. Follow her, her twit pics are enough to keep you entranced for days. Loving her over the top personality and lingo!
