This Christmas was a little different than most. In between the yummy food, a gingerbread house decorating competition, and a super high-stakes game of Saran Wrap Ball, we found ourselves in full blown wedding planning mood. With my little sister’s big day only 3 months away and nothing but a venue crossed off the list, we had a lot more than Christmas carols on our minds. Thankfully, we were able to capitalize on our time together and make a dent in the planning, while still enjoying the holiday festivities.

This month on I’m bringing you another edition of my interview series, Ladies Who Laptop. This month’s spotlight is a former financier turned owner and visionary behind one of the most stylish nail salons on the West Coast. Mani obsessed Sarah Gibson Tuttle knew a thing or two about pleasing clients. New York was her home and finance was her game. But when the blue skies and swaying palms of good ol’ California wooed her across the country, Sarah switched gears and set out to launch a new kind of neighborhood nail salon. With three booming locations, Olive & June has become a favorite destination for nail-obsessed ladies and celebrities looking to get pampered by experts in a one-of-a-kind environment. Today, Sarah opens up about her favorite winter nail trends and what her family thinks about her leap from Wall Street to Beverly Hills. Head over to to read our interview here.

Must Watch

Holy cow, this show is blowing my mind! If you guys haven't checked out Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath on A&E I highly recommend you binge the first few episodes. What I love most about this real life horror story is that it's so clearly not a vanity project, but a powerful and heartbreaking plea for change. Leah Remini is a warrior.

Must Congratulate

The secret's out of the bag!! Sending lots of love to my girl, Lauren Conrad. 2017 just got a lot more exciting.

I hope you all have an amazing Monday!

  1. great post, happpy new year

  2. Happy New Year! I love that faux fur coat.

  3. Seen some of the Leah Remini Scientology segment (at least something in the past), watched lots of documentaries. Growing up Mormon I can relate to some, perhaps not all, but some.

  4. As many of the others have remarked, style blogging is something I have thought about doing since I retired and I love that you have put out such comprehensive instructions for would-be bloggers to follow. Like others, I just need to get up the nerve and resolve to do it. I am 65 years old, and have body issues that make it quite difficult, but not impossible, to purchase clothing. I take tidbits from you, Cyndi, Tania, Jennifer Connolly, Pam Lutrell, and Susan Street. However, my body issues involve arms that require 3/4 length sleeves, and legs that require below the knee pants, skirts and dresses. Those two requirements narrow the shopping choices greatly. Once dressed for those requirements, I think I look pretty good for a 65 year old broad – LOL – even with a few extra pounds on board. I believe my niche audience are women like me who have similar body issues who are on a quest to find the perfect outfits that fit those specifications (Soft Surroundings is one place I buy a lot of my clothes). Right now I’m struggling with a name for the blog. Once I come up with that, I hope I’ll be ready to kick this thing off. It’s kind of scary the thought of putting myself out there…

  9. Pretty much the only chance you have of accidentally buying a Breitling these days is via a transaction with some private seller who claim "not to know whether a Fake Breitling watches is real or not." That usually means it is fake. So yes, caveat emptor is still a good policy, but Fake Breitling watches are mostly on the wrists of people who know they are wearing fakes. For me the most important issue in this entire article is a discussion of whether or not Replica Valentino Handbags are a good alternative to the real thing (minus the legal implications of course). The answer is almost universal that they are an extremely poor alternative to the real Valentino handbags thing.
