Last week my best friend Megan and I threw an over-the-top Christmas in Candy Land themed engagement party for our friend Amber. To help transform Megan's house into the classic game, we had game pieces on the floor leading to each of the themed rooms like the peppermint forest, the lollipop woods, and the candy castle. Of course none of our parties are complete without a photo booth, which we decorated with red and white streamers. We cut out bows, mustaches, hearts, and lips, along with a slew of other fun props. For the lollipop woods, we made giant lollipops out of balloons and left over wrapping paper rolls, as well as a sucker bouquet for the bride made of 600 dums dums. Yum! The party was a total hit and we had such a blast dancing and laughing the night away. Did you attend any fun holiday parties this year?
For the chocolate swamp we had a mini hot cocoa bar!
For the drinks, my sister and I glittered mason jars and then added lots of festive extras to make them ultra fabulous!
We asked the guests to bring an ornament that reflected their relationship with the bride and groom to help decorate the soonlyweds first Christmas tree. By the end of the night the mini tree was filled!
We turned the kitchen into the Peppermint Forest by covering the cabinets in peppermint wrapping paper and hanging red and white balloons from the ceiling.
