Lauren Conrad and her team pulled out all the stops to make sure my trip to NYC was something I'd never forget. From first class airfare to a seriously luxurious hotel, every detail was pure perfection! Since Justin and I were fresh off the plane from our beach destination wedding, we were completely unprepared for the chilly NYC weather. A quick shopping spree to pick up some warmer pieces was a must. Afterwards, we stepped into total tourist mode, minus the fanny packs. We were lost somewhere in the city when I looked up and realized I was standing twenty stories under the headquarters of the exact company that laid me off last year, inspiring me to launch Fash Boulevard. (You may remember reading about it in my about me, here) Talk about full circle. There I was in NYC for Fash Boulevard related business looking up at the company that ignited it all. Life certainly has a crazy way of reminding us of how fabulous our journeys really are.
Am I the only one who always thinks of musicals whenever I see fire escapes like this? It took everything I had to conceal my inner Broadway.
A peek at our hotel room.
Some stair railings are just meant for photo ops.
No trip to NYC is complete without stopping by Carrie Bradshaw's fabulous Sex and the City home!
Enjoying a stroll through Manhattan... Can I please move here asap.
I was completely blown away by the NYC public library. How can anyone read a book in a place this beautiful?
Magnolia Bakery, the must stop shop for a sugar high.
Using the map on my iPhone to navigate the big city. I'm pretty sure I'd still be lost in NYC without it. Thank goodness for technology.
For my sightseeing ensemble I paired my striped Bar III dress (see it here) with my BCBGMAXAZRIA jacket and a peach scarf. I kept it comfy by pairing my look with my Le Bunny Bleu flats which you may remember seeing here.
