The Row Resort 2012

This past week Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's luxury apparel and accessories line, The Row debuted their Resort 2012 collection. The millionaire twins started The Row in 2007 with the intention of creating the perfect t-shirt. After the lines massive success the brand grew to include the duo's signature sunglasses and ultra major handbags. The Olsen's are widely known for their fashion sense and major accessories so it's no surprise that their three apparel and accessories lines have turned into gold. I'm having mixed emotions about their Resort 2012 collection though. I adore the white 1940's inspired pieces and I think the light mint green touches are stunning but some of the other pieces feel a bit... off. And yes, I'm talking about the blue bath robe. You wouldn't expect the Olsen twins to put out a clothing line without a mink coat in it would you? Overall I think it is a beautiful collection but unfortunately there aren't as many show stoppers as I hoped for. What do you think of Mary Kate and Ashley's designs?

  9. Unfortunately, I've never been able to hop on the MK & A bandwagon of style. They are pretty girls but always end up looking like bag ladies and don't really celebrate a woman's figure. I know women don't always have to wear everything tight, but come on, a bathrobe?? Love your blog though- it's super fun and so current!

  10. I usually love the Olsen twins but I really wish some of their stuff was more form fitting also. Can't really pull off the bag lady look. Hmm, I think I like the first dress the most

  17. Awesome collection, though I'm not a huge admirer of the proportions the color palette and stripes is great!

  18. Hmm, I guess it's an attention grabber, but I'm not a big fan of a bathrobe on the runway. I do like a lot of these looks eventhough they seem way to big for these models. :)

    Nice post
