Oh HAY there... Get it? Cause of all the hay? Okay, bad jokes aside, how stinking gorgeous is this backdrop? Talk about magic hour! While visiting my family for Thanksgiving, the whole gang broke away from the table for an hour, piled into the back of my little brother's truck -- I still can't believe that's an actual sentence -- and headed out to these beautiful and oh-so-southern stacks of hay to shoot our family Christmas card. Justin and I snuck this shot just after the shoot.

Must Listen

Have you guys heard "She Used To Be Mine" from the Waitress musical? OMG! This song is so incredibly emotional and something I think a lot of us can relate to. I've had it on repeat. The vocals through the second half are nothing short of incredible and Sarah Bareilles hit it out of the park with powerful lyrics like “It's not what I asked for... Sometimes life just slips in through a back door and carves out a person and makes you believe it's all true... And now I've got you.” My poor husband has been listening to me belt this out for months. And there's no end in sight. I'm absolutely obsessed!

Must Read

A few months ago Nicole Richie penned a raw, honest, and beautiful piece for Lenny.com about her "wild child" past, perfectly titled "Untitled: and that's the point!" It's a must-read! Check out the excerpt below and read the full piece here. "I turned 35 last month. It wasn't what I had expected. I mean, we all remember watching Carrie Bradshaw turn 35 all alone in Il Cantinori. On the contrary, I had overwhelming feelings of excitement, gratitude, and eagerness for this next chapter. The next decade will be a time of growth, learning new things, meeting new people, challenging myself, and nurturing all the seeds I have been planting. But a big birthday is also a great moment for reflection. And as firmly as I believe in the importance of looking forward, there are some moments when we should, and even have to, look back. Often for me those moments come while I'm on the couch with my girlfriends, or listening to my husband make fun of the younger version of me. The end result is sometimes smiles and laughter, and there are often moments of disbelief like I'm talking about someone else." Read more here
