Santa Baby

Since my obsession with Marilyn Monroe has become heightened this past year with all of the movie buzz, I've been more addicted then usual to "Santa Baby." Yes,  I am totally that overly obsessed Christmas caroler who starts playing holiday music October 1st. There's just too many great songs, why must we squash them all into only a few short weeks... I refuse. Once the music is taken care of, it's time to dive deeper into the holiday spirit with a comfy knit. Nothing feels more like winter than a baggy sweater comfortable enough to sleep in. During a recent trip to Altadena to check out Christmas Tree Lane, I decided to dress up my favorite Free People cropped knit sweater with my super girly Giambattista Valli organza petal skirt. I love unexpected combos that tend to show a different side of your personality. To complete the look I added some black tights (a holiday fash staple) a pair of Forever 21 ankle boots, and of course my go-to Steve Madden handbag. For those of you movie buffs,  you may recognize the background as the stadium where they shot the Band Camp scenes from American Pie 2. Visiting movie locations for photo shoots is sorta how I get my fiance to come along. As you know, he's a screenwriter, so it's sort of a double whammy. Inspiration for him, blog photos for me. And yes, I was totally humming Santa Baby throughout the entire shoot. Which holiday jingle are you loving this year? xo
