Merging Seasonal Pieces

Fall is the perfect time to put the re-wear styling method to test as you combine your fall and summer pieces to create the ideal transitional ensemble. Recently I decided to layer my new Aqua brand knit sweater over my favorite LC by Lauren Conrad skirt. You may remember me wearing this skirt for one of my summer outfit post in front of Lauren's old "Hills" house, here. If you haven't picked up your fall pieces from Lauren's amazing Kohls collection I urge you all to head to the store now. The super sweet and inspiring designer has delivered another gush worthy collection. This re-wear of Lauren's skirt was a totally different look, showing off a flirty and more summery vibe. This sweater skirt combo is my favorite ensemble for those days when the temperature seems to dip lower than usual, which is happening quite frequently in LA this month. Oversized knit tops are the perfect go-to item for the cool days of fall where you want to look cute, stylish and comfy at the same time. They also lend for super easy layering, whether it be over shirts, skirts, or even maxi dresses. For a more laid back vibe, I braided my hair into a loose side braid for a refreshing break from my usual hair styles. And to top off the look I added a hat I bought on a shopping trip to Venice Beach earlier this year, which you can see here. The blue stone ring I'm wearing is actually a vintage ring that I bought almost seven years ago at a little store in Alabama. I love vintage pieces because they all have history and stories that we can only dream about. I thought this was a great time to rock the piece since it is a perfect pair for my new slouchy knit sweater. What's your favorite way to wear your knit pieces?

See the little lady bug in my hair below... so cute, right? After proclaiming its good luck, I let the spotted creature crawl onto my finger where it proceeded to bite me, with teeth I can only compare to Jaws. After some Google rehab I discovered Asian lady bugs are apparently known for biting. Who knew the Beverly Hills lady bug community was so diverse?
