Trend Report - Floral Prints

Runways and boutiques have been flooded with fasions latest spring obsession. With winter becoming a distant memory, the layers are lighter, the palettes are fresher, and the seasonal favorite is without question floral prints. There's no spring without flowers and no summer without colors, so it's easy to understand when it comes to the spring/summer 2011 collections the most dominating trend in prints advocated by nearly every designer is floral. Dior, Erdem, Alberta Ferrati and even Chanel are just a few of the designers featuring floral prints in their latest collections. Whether it's dresses, pants, skirts, shirts, shoes or handbags, these vibrant, colorful and feminine pieces will add a flirty touch to your spring and summer days. Style icon Nicole Richie is also obsessed with floral prints which can be seen throughout her latest Winter Kate collection. Whether you like your floral bold or more refined, every girl should have this feminine print in her closet. With larger floral prints, pair it with darker colors or subtle pieces that won’t compete with the print. With smaller floral prints you'll have the chance to pair it with bolder colors and fun accessories. Not a fan of the flowery prints? Fear not, floral doesn't always have to be ultra girly. Pairing feminine floral fabrics with tougher accessories or a leather jacket is always a great option. Above I am wearing a Guess floral print dress paired with my favorite Giuseppe Zanotti sling back pumps. Below I've pulled pictures of some of my favorite celebrities wearing floral prints. Are you loving this trend?
